Bought this for a special dinner and was blown away by how the volcanic soil really comes through in the flavor—it's earthy and complex without being heavy. The 2019 Nerello Mascalese is perfectly balanced, and you can taste the high-altitude Etna character in every sip.

The volcanic minerality really comes through on the palate, and you can tell it's from high-altitude vines. That said, I wish the bottle had more info on the back about serving temperature since I had to guess and chilled it a bit too much at first. Still, a solid red for the price.
